Camp Claiborne, was identified as having limited ordnance hazard, as a part of the
Defense Environmental Restoration Program of Formerly Used Defense Sites (DERP-FUDS),
and is being managed by the Ft. Worth District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
As of 2007 the USACE is was performing an Engineering Evaluation and Cost Analysis (EE/CA) to
determine the best way to reduce risks from previous DOD use of Camp Claiborne.
However as of 2010 the camp cleanup site looks abandoned and emails sent to the site to report this ordance found by a visitor bounce back.
